Birthday Extravaganza

In an attempt to party it up this weekend in honor of my husband's birthday, we decided to make it a weekend extravaganza instead of just a one day celebration.  Lisa, LeAnne and Kev (clint's younger siblings) spent the entire weekend at our house.  So we planned a non-stop play weekend. So here is the breakdown:
  • FRIDAY:  Starting Halloween night, Clint made homemade donuts and we had some friends and their kids over after trick-or-treating for donuts.  Our counters were covered with rising donuts.  We could not get people to eat them fast enough.  The night continued with a little karaoke as we took part in 'Kofford Idol'.  We finished off the evening with an Office Marathon (watching most of season 2)...I will admit I was the party pooper and fell asleep first.  What do you expect from a girl who worked 12 hours on her feet?
  • SATURDAY:  Sleep in late.  Tidy up.  Go running in 70 degree weather.  Make a birthday cake.  Watch football games.  Play football in the backyard.  Make homemade pizza--gotta love the pizza stone.  Make homemade ice cream.  Watch more episodes of the Office.  Play guitar hero.  Clint even brought home some fencing uniforms from work so we all discovered our new fencing skills.  And of course the finals of 'Kofford Idol'  (I think it was a 5 way tie).
  • SUNDAY:  Church.  Birthday Dinner with Clint's cousins and aunt and uncle.  The Debut of 'The Vader' cake.  Presents. nap time.  another gorgeous day!

It is weekends like this that make it  hard to go back to work on monday.  Is it possible to fit that much fun into a 48 hour period.  As much as a try to play the "I'm all grown up" role, I must admit it is much more fun being a kid.  May we all have MORE moments that bring out our childish natures and zest for life.  Happy Birthday Clint!

oh and..... HAPPY HALLOWEEN
