Nostalgia
I was driving home last night down a long country road, with acres and acres of open fields. As I looked to my right and my left and even straight ahead I saw hundreds of small illuminated lights flicker on and off. I quickly realized they were fireflies fluttering all around the fields. I was taken back to when I was 8 or 9 and would spend summer evenings chasing around fireflies with a glass mason jar or even just my two hands. My grandparents had a summer home on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and all of my cousins and I never got tired of running all around the open grass capturing our little glow bugs. Oh the memories. I think last night was one of the nostalgic moments of remembering that life is good and wanting (for just a split second) to travel back in time to when life was simple and carefree. But, life is STILL good and just continues to get better.
