Stay-cation

What would you do if you had a week to yourself with no kids and no husband?

My husband had business in Colorado last week, so he decided to be brave and take David with him to spend a week at Grandma and Grandpa's house! When he first suggested the idea I asked, "But what will I do?" And then the ideas started to fly and I said to myself, "It is more like what WON'T I do?!" My list got increasingly longer the more I thought about all of this free time. From reading books, to finishing craft projects, to waking up whenever I want, and of course squeezing in some nice long runs (sans jogging stroller!). It was amazing how much I got done is just a few days. I feel renewed and refreshed and just in time for my boys to come home. I am now ready to be a better mommy and a better wife. It did make me melt when David came home say "ma-ma" and so excited to see me. I missed my boys! Thanks Clint, what a great idea. So when is my next stay-cation?
