Super Saturday

You know the feeling when you have one of those 'perfect days' that you never want to end?  Saturday might fall into that category.  Saturday morning was the annual Super Saturday craft morning with some of the ladies in my church.  About 50 of us all gathered and had a blast chatting, painting, being crafty, eating amazing food, and laughing.  It certainly gave me my chat time and girl bonding time that my husband claims I thrive on---it's true I am chatty and I like it!  I arrived home around 3pm only to be pleasantly surprised that my husband had mowed the lawn, organized the house, did ALL of the laundry AND folded it, did yard work, created a spread sheet for our food storage items, and paid the bills!  It was a dream come true---he did all of this instead of watching football.  Wow, that is love!  It was such a pretty day that we decided to squeeze in 9 holes of golf.  So we went to a local public course around 5:30pm and played 9 holes before it got dark....well actually the last hole was played under the moonlight.  It was a full moon so it was bright enough for us to see.  Seriously days just don't get better than this one!  To top it off Clint took me to one of his favorite mom/pop ice cream stands "DJ's Velvet Freez" that he had memories of going to as a boy.  We had chocolate dipped ice cream cones and then went home for dinner!  To finish the night off we had BLT's for dinner with home grown tomatoes from my mother-in-law's garden and enjoyed an intense game of FARKLE!  (For those who do not know how to play farkle---it is a must learn).  Days like that just don't come along every weekend...but when they do I savor every moment.

I love your golfing shirt, Nance. Do you feel like you have a new wardrobe now? And, that day sounds exactly perfect for the 2 of you - always packing a million things into every minute. You're truly inspiring. Would Clint like to come to my house and pay bills, wash AND fold the laundry, and mow my lawn?! He's always welcome. :)
