I am a Valentine baby...I love hearts and yes my favorite color is red...so cliche. My parents always told me that when I was born someone suggested the name 'BEMA' to go along with the BE MY VALENTINE theme. My husband would debate that it is a double whammy having to take care of a birthday and Valentine's Day on the same day. Others may say no it is a like a BOGOF (a two for one if you will). However you look at it I always have a fantastic birthday because it is a day that people can show their love, affection, appreciation, and gratitude for those that they love. And I must say my hubby does a pretty good job!
This year we actually celebrated my b-day a week early by spending a weekend in NYC. We went to the temple, had lunch at Grey's Papaya, shopped and walked around the city, met my dad for a Sushi dinner and then spent an evening on Broadway. Honestly, what more could a girl want?
My actual birthday weekend was spent in CT with the whole fam as we welcomed my brother CK back from his mission. It was such a party and the weekend even included TWO birthday cakes for Fely and myself (As you can see we each had our special request). Fely turns 70 this year (I know you would never know it) but I was honored to share such a celebration with such an amazing woman---we refer to her as our angel as she has touched so many people's lives in very special ways.

Happy Birthday Nancy!! Looks like you had fun. I'm jealous!
What a fun weekend in NYC to be followed up with your brother coming home!!! I'm just a little concerned that Hershey's Chocolate not something from Mars was in the cake!!! Both cakes looked great. It looks like you saw Mary Poppins--that is on my list of things I want to see!!
