Elder Morgan Is Home!!! After serving a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Portland, Oregon he returned home safely. Chris had a dream about a week ago that he would arrive at the airport and there would be no one there to pick him up or welcome him. Who would ever think to do such a thing?? Gone for two years and NO welcome party...unheard of! Mom and I set off to meet him at the airport only to find ourselves at a dead stop right before the Whitestone Bridge.
Those that know New York traffic know that it is unpredictable. So i must confess my brother's dream came true and my mom and i panicked trying to find any alternate route to the airport. 30minutes late we pull up to the airport only to find Elder Morgan standing curbside with a cart and all of his bags. My heart just sank. We had our whole welcome routine planned with his life size cut out, signs and balloons. Sure enough plan A went down the tubes. I tell you, it always turns out so much better when I play it through in my head. Instead, we greeted him in the gusty wind storm, our balloon flew out the car door and into the sky as we all laughed and watched it fly away.
So, needless to say his welcome home was certainly memorable. We met his stake president at the airport and he was released within the hour. (Conveniently his stake president was flying out of the same airport that night). Chris we are so proud of you and it is great to have you home!

Your brother is HOME. That's great. the whitestone bridge is totally unpredictable. I guess you were allowing him some time to breath in the air and let reality soak in.
