Feather your Nest

I was not aware that there was another term for Nesting but apparently there is.

I am less than 3 weeks away and I have been 'Feathering my Nest'....well sort of. I am not sure what it is with baby #2 but I am not feeling the urges to have the nursery painted the perfect color, all of the bedding in place, with pictures on the wall and coordinated lamp shades as I did with our first child. This might be due to the fact that baby #1 is STILL in the crib and it will be a few months before baby #2 actually gets her own room because it is currently guest bedroom #2. So, my nesting has taken on different forms. Is it still called nesting if it has NOTHING to do with the baby? Here are a few examples:

- Remodeling the master bathroom (always a bigger project than you think)
-Made new pillows for my couch
-Decided to break out the sewing machine since it sat in a box for 6 months unused. Made some baby blankets and pillows (mentioned above)
-Made Homemade salsa with veggies from the garden
-Baked all kinds of bread---gave some away and proceeded to eat the rest myself and share a bit with my family
-Organized MY closet
-Washed baby clothes, so I guess I am making some progress

We are so excited for this Bundle of Joy to arrive. This pregnancy flew by much faster. I still have a couple weeks to 'Feather the Nest' so we will see what kind of urges the next few weeks bring. Ready or not she is coming!

Nancy! We got your package for Adelaide in the mail yesterday! Thanks so much for thinking of us. I can't wait until she's big enough to wear the tights :) we're also looking forward to the inevitable play dates with babies Olsen, Kofford, and Melonakos. Good luck in the last few weeks of pregnancy.
